BENT activates the hidden pines of Medusa, NY this September (4–6) for three days of experimental electronics and gyrating rhythms — an exploration of sound and space, where speakers are placed like crumbling monoliths, and complex harmonics morph and undulate through a lush and winding valley.

Traversing a wide range of sonic approaches, BENT moves from hyper-modernist sound design and electro-acoustic frequency manipulation to spatialized texture and primal dance-floor psychosis. Powered by a custom analogue sound system by Jupiter Sound, the surrounding pines become a living instrument whose sound is shaped by the environment and its natural resonances.

Set on a secluded property in upstate New York, the site features a small body of water and immersive forest — tent camping only. Camping is free for all attendees; donations ($100–150) are requested to help provide toilets, sound system, showers, lighting, and nutritious meals throughout the weekend.
